About The Brand

SAE University, which was founded in Australia in 1976 by Tom Misner, was bought by Navitas Limited in 2012. It now has over 50 campuses in more than 20 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. SAE University is a top school for creative media education, offering high-tech courses in audio, film, and entertainment business education, with modern and inspiring classes that use industry-standard equipment and software.

The Challenge

As the Social Media Marketing Strategist for SAE University, my job is to work with the Marketing Manager to develop and carry out SAE's social media and marketing growth plans. My challenges have included:

  • Creating consistent branding across all social media and campaigns,
  • Increasing engagement across all social media channels,
  • Incorporating video into our content strategy,
  • Conducting testimonials from current students and alumni,
  • Adding TikTok and BeReal to reach a younger audience,
  • Working with the Student Council and first-year students to be the University's ambassadors,
  • Managing SAE interns, and
  • Staying on top of new social media trends and features.

The Process

To meet these challenges:

  • I managed the day-to-day social media activities,
  • Created innovative content across multiple social media platforms
    (Instagram, TikTok, BeReal, Facebook, LinkedIn, & YouTube)
  • Drive engagement and increase brand awareness,
  • Analyzed reports including analytics, campaigns, lead messaging, and audience sentiment.

The Outcome

Thanks to our hard work, SAE University has grown a lot in less than a year. Our social media followers increased by 15%, and the rate at which people engage with our posts went up by 16%. This shows that our content is connecting with our audience.

By working with the student council and freshmen as ambassadors for SAE, we could utilize user-generated content. Our testimonials from current students and alumni also helped us establish authority and credibility within our industry, resulting in a 7% increase in leads and inquiries about our programs.

We also kept up with the latest trends and worked with companies like Xiaomi, Nvidia, Wacom, Paramount Hotel, Majid al Futtaim, and social media influencers with up to 10 million followers. This helped us keep our content interesting and fresh, and as a result, our website saw a 2.35% increase in traffic.

SAE University has grown significantly in less than a year thanks to effective social media and marketing strategies.
